a base of 88%-95% natural quartz stone, mixed with pigments, polymers and resins which is what bonds the slab together. Rock slabs represent a new material in the panel industry, following stone, wood, and aluminum. Their primary components are natural clay, silica (quartz), feldspar powder, and other inorganic non-metallic oxides. They are pressed in high-tonnage presses and fired at temperatures exceeding 1280°C to create a new decorative panel material. |
